Junior/Senior Training Programmes, Intensive Courses

From 2021 – 2023, our students secured no fewer than 26 places at vocational schools, including the Royal Ballet School (White Lodge), Elmhurst Ballet School, Tring Park School for the Performing Arts, the Young Dancers Academy, Central School of Ballet, Royal Conservatoire of Scotland and Kings International Ballet Academy.

Programmes

Places per group are extremely limited to ensure personalised and focused instruction. Entry to these programmes is through an individual 1-2-1 assessment session where honest feedback will be given on the child’s suitability for the programme.

Junior Training Programme (JTP)

Elite programme for talented students in years 4-6
The full training programme consists of 5 hours 30 minutes of high-quality training a week:

  • Two classes within the week (2 x 1.5 hours)
  • Associates Level 1 class on Sundays (2 hours)
  • Conditioning (30 mins)

Optional classes:

  • RAD Vocational Grades on Fridays – Intermediate Foundation
  • Pointe class on Saturdays
  • Stretch and conditioning on Saturdays

General level class on Saturdays
This programme will prepare students to be at a suitable level to audition for year 7 entry into full-time vocational schools, should they so wish.
Classes focus on technique, artistry, musicality, presentation and include:

  • Ballet
  • Pilates
  • Audition preparation*

*Please inform the teacher if the child is planning to audition for vocational schools or other associate schemes linked to vocational schools.

Senior Training Programme (STP)

Elite programme for talented students in years 7 – 11
The full training programme consists of 7 hrs 45 mins of high-quality training a week:

  • Two classical classes within the week (total of 3 hrs)
  • Associates Level 2 class on Sundays (2 hours 30 minutes)
  • Pointe work class on Mondays, Fridays, and Sundays (total of 1 hour 45 minutes) 
  • Conditioning (30 minutes)

Optional classes:

  • RAD Vocational Grades: Intermediate (Thursdays)
  • Pointe class on Saturdays
  • Stretch and conditioning on Saturdays
  • General level class on Saturdays

Pre Junior Training Programme (PJT)

A programme for children aged 6 – 9 years old who are keen to have additional ballet training alongside their regular graded classes.

Our Pre Junior Training Programme is once a week:

  • 1 hour class starting from September 2023
    Sundays 12-1 pm
  • This programme focuses on fundamental ballet technique in a fun environment. The class will include both barre and centre practise.
  • As an experienced, qualified pilates and PBT teacher, Jo will additionally incorporate some highly beneficial strength and conditioning exercises into the weekly class.
  • This non-syllabus class is an excellent way to enhance children’s speed in picking up new vocabulary (particularly useful for all auditions).
  • An excellent weekly class which also prepares the younger students for Junior Associate programme audition

New Contemporary Classes

Ages 13-17 years
No previous contemporary experience necessary.
Minimum of 3 years of ballet training.
